Music in Our Schools Month
March is Music in Our Schools Month, and the music boosters would like to thank all those students who are involved in any type of music organization at the high school and the elementary school. Music is an important part of our lives, and we are very proud of the music program in our schools. The students put a lot of work into their music, and it shows through all the performances they have throughout the year.
We have students who go to district, regional, and state band, IU9 band, district, regional, state and all-east chorus, students who have performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City, and elementary students who perform at Mansfield University and at hockey games in Erie. Several of these students also perform in the marching band, Centerstage, Showcase, Jazz and Java, and the musical each year. These are amazing accomplishments.
We thank all the students for their performances and the parents who get them to practices. We also want to thank the directors for their work with the students. They go above and beyond their normal teaching to ensure the students put on amazing shows.
Please take a moment to view our Music in Our Schools Month letter from the boosters for more information on our wonderful music programs.
