Registration Information

Please view the links below for registration information.

High School Students:

Please remember, when you present the completed forms to Mrs. Benson in the school counseling/guidance office, we cannot create a schedule with you and your student until we receive the necessary course and grade information from your former school.

Immunization Requirements

Check below for the latest information and vaccination requirement schedules set forth by the state of Pennsylvania:

Registration and Immunizations

Whether you are new to our beautiful community or have an upcoming kindergarten student eager to start school, we welcome you! We understand that entering a new school can be an exciting and hectic time. To help you out, we’ve put all the information you need right here to get your child registered quickly and get you on your way.

To register your child at a Port Allegany school, you will need to provide the following documentation, in person, at our office.

  • Registration forms (located at the side of this page)
  • Child’s original birth certificate or a certified copy
  • Immunization records
  • Proof of residency – include two forms of documentation such as a deed/lease; utility, credit card, or property tax bill; driver’s license, or vehicle registration.

Kindergarten Registration
Children who turn five years on or before September 1 of the entering school year are eligible to enroll in our all-day kindergarten program.

Migrant/Homeless Student Registration
We will directly enroll all migrant/homeless students into our district even if parents/guardians are unable to produce the required documentation. The district will work with such students to track down personal records. We will not inquire about immigration status as part of the enrollment process.

The state of Pennsylvania requires by law that all students be immunized, unless specifically exempt for religious or medical reasons. The Port Allegany School District adheres to this law in an effort to safe guard the school community from the spread of certain diseases. We will not admit students to school without proper immunization records, and we may remove students exempt from immunizations from school during an outbreak.

The Port Allegany School District buildings will be closed beginning Thursday, April 9 through Tuesday, April 14 for the Easter holiday.

High School students should continue their planned instruction lessons and elementary students should continue their enrichment activities on Wednesday, April 15.

In the meantime, stay engaged with your education, maintain your social distancing, and be sure to do your part as we work through this closure period.  Our buildings will again be opened to our students and the public once it is safe to do so.

On behalf of everyone with the Port Allegany School District, we wish you a safe and Happy Easter.
