Gator Closet

The Port Allegany High School gifted students are embarking on a new service project. They are creating an organization that they call the "Gator Closet." This organization's mission is "To provide Port Allegany High School students with necessary goods during times of need." The Gator Closet will be a secure room in the building that the gifted students will stock with items that some of our students need. This room will be accessible to students privately, one at a time.

The Gator Closet is currently accepting donations! At this time, we are focusing mainly on toiletries. Complimentary soaps, shampoos, etc. from hotels are welcome. We are also looking for regular sizes of the following items: soap, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, brushes, combs, hair ties, razors, feminine hygiene products, toothbrushes, toothpaste, wash cloths, and bath towels.

We are also accepting new or gently used (and laundered) coats, hats, gloves, shoes, and boots. We will also accept new (packaged or with tags) of the following items: socks, underwear, and bras of various sizes.

As you can imagine, this project will take a great deal of money and donations to get started and maintain. Students would like to have this room up and running by the beginning of the second semester. Please bring all donations of items to the high school in a box or bag marked "Gator Closet.”

Please see our Gator Closet flyer for additional details on how you can help.
